Class Description

Gentle Flow Yoga 
​
This is a Vinyasa-based practice that develops strength and flexibility. Linking each movement with the breath, this practice includes creative flowing sequences and classical poses geared toward all levels. The class will also promote deep relaxation of the body & mind. Postures are done in a supported & gentle manner to minimize strain & maximize opening. The class is oriented toward focused breathing & meditation. Open to all levels from beginners to long-time practitioners.

Chair Yoga

This style of yoga is suitable for those recovering from illness or injury, or for those who find getting down on the floor more difficult than it was at one point. Using a chair for seated or balancing poses, you can take advantage of the many benefits yoga provides. You may find your ability to relax into poses more accessible, giving tired or stressed parts of your body a break. We will use the chair for seated poses, standing poses to assist with balance and to improve strength, and if appropriate, the chair will also be used for poses done while lying on the back. Modifications for all poses are always available and encouraged. As with my other classes there will be breath-work, mindfulness and meditation. These techniques reduce stress, improve sleep and mental clarity. Members of the community that have benefited from this type of yoga are those recovering from stroke, heart surgeries, knee, hip and shoulder replacements, and amputees. It's a fun class! 

Private Yoga Session
The Private Session allows you to dive deeper into yoga practice or establish a new practice designed specifically for your needs. I will guide you to establish a practice best for your ability through proper technique, alignment, and breath. This style of class is geared towards a wide range of needs from those wanting more specific attention when healing from an injury, to those wanting to work on certain aspects of yoga, like balance or flexibility. This is perfect for one to two people, but small groups can also be accommodated.

After taking Krista’s yoga classes for the last two years on a seasonal basis, I asked her if she would be interested in creating a stretching yoga plan for me to use pre and post golf.  Bam!!  We met and discussed my goals and the areas I need to focus on. We did a mini class together as she lead me through the poses and snapped a few photos along the way for my memory sake - ha!  It was perfect and she emailed me the final document.
